Your Online Guide To Addiction Recovery

Quote of the day July 6th, 2008

The fact is, that to do anything in the world worth doing, we must not stand back shivering and thinking of the cold and danger, but jump in and scramble through as well as we can.
-- Robert Cushing

Alcoholics Victorious
Founded in 1948, Alcoholics Victorious support groups offer a safe environment where recovering people who recognize Jesus Christ as their "Higher Power" gather together and share their experience, strength and hope. AV meetings use both the 12 Steps and the Alcoholics Victorious Creed.

Alcoholics for Christ
AC is an inter-denominational, non profit, Christian fellowship that ministers to three groups: Alcoholics or Substance abusers, Family members- those who relate regularly with an alcoholic or substance abuser, and Adult Children - individuals who were raised in alcoholic, substance abuse or dysfunctional families.

Overcomers Outreach
A Christ-centered 12-Step recovery program that addresses addictions & compulsions. OO bridges the gap between traditional 12-Step support groups and hurting people in churches of all denominations.

New Life Ministries
Information about their clinics plus online counseling services, daily devotionals, and more.

Christians In Recovery
Almost everyone has the need to recover from or overcome something in their lives. Christians in Recovery® (CIR) is a group of recovering Christians dedicated to mutual sharing of faith, strength and hope as we live each day in recovery. We work to regain and maintain balance and order in our lives through active discussion of the Bible, and experiences in our own recovery from abuse, family dysfunction, depression, anxiety, grief, relationships and/or addictions of alcohol, drugs, food, pornography, sexual addiction, etc.

Confident Kids
A special site dedicated to helping kids from addicted and dysfunctional families.

Association of Gospel rescue Missions
The Association of Gospel Rescue Missions was founded in 1913. If annual cash contributions were combined, the 300 Association member RESCUE missions would be among the ten largest nonprofit organizations in the United States.
RESCUE missions provide emergency food and shelter, youth and family services, rehabilitation programs for the addicted, education and job training programs and assistance to the elderly poor and at-risk youth.
